Help Dr. Ashley Cainion Overcome Medical Setbacks

My friend and former co-resident, Dr. Ashley Cainion was in her second year of residency when she was diagnosed with a CSF leak. Over the course of six months she underwent six brain surgeries, requiring multiple stays in the Neurosurgical ICU. Although she was able to graduate from residency in the Summer of 2024, she has not yet completed her necessary examinations to qualify for her full license due to complications from her surgery. Because of these setbacks, she is not currently able to work as a family medicine physician, meaning that this transitional period has also been plagued by financial and housing insecurity. She will be sitting for exams later this year, but would benefit from some financial support to tide her over. My hope is that through this GoFundMe, we can help get back Dr. Cainion back on her feet and back in the business of taking care of patients!
