Dear world,

My name is Baraa, a Palestinian doctor living in Gaza City. I am reaching out for support to help my family leave Gaza and live peacefully. I have been working in hospitals and clinics in Gaza for around 200 days and have witnessed the deaths of hundreds of innocent children and women and thousands of injured people. My husband, Dr Abed, and I have been working hard at the emergency department, and we were forced several times to evacuate our home after the invasion by enemy forces.

Following several nights of heavy bombardment of Nusierat, we evacuated our home and took refuge in residential refugee camps in the south. For several months, we have not had electricity or fuel and have struggled to secure necessities such as diapers and milk for our 6-month-old daughter, MILA. We used to live in the now-demolished neighbourhood of Gaza City. We got engaged in 2020, built our dream apartment in 2021, and got married a few months later in 2021. Our lovely child Mila was born in September 2023, one week before the war in the Gaza Strip.

She did not receive the healthcare that any child in any part of the world would have received, including access to milk, diapers, or vaccinations. Due to the siege on the city, she did not receive her standard schedule of vaccination, leaving her vulnerable to communicable diseases in this polluted environment.

My family also lives in Al-Nusierat camp and they were displaced under fire with nothing with them. They were forced to leave the city and head to the south where they have no one or nowhere to stay after the IDF destroyed our family home, leaving nothing but ashes. Our memories, money, photobooks, and the corners we used to sit in were demolished.

Now, we have no home or income as we lost our sources of income both in Gaza and online jobs due to internet issues. We are under fire and bombardments as there is no safe place in the Gaza Strip. We have struggled to find access to food, water, and diapers for our child, and have sometimes had to consume non-drinking water, which has caused severe gastroenteritis and other health problems.

Thank you for taking the time to learn about our circumstances. Palestinian voices are often silenced, making it difficult to raise awareness of our situation and seek support. A safe, supportive, and non-judgmental community is vital to us.

On behalf of my family, I sincerely and deeply ask all kind people to help us leave the most dangerous place in the world, start a new life and continue our medical speciality training. The circumstances, dangers, and hardships are unimaginable, and time is extremely sensitive, which means it can cause serious health problems and cost lives.

Here is the breakdown of the money :

• Evacuation fees is approximately 5000-10000 USD per adult person and 2500 for children. ( according to registration agency and waiting time ).

• Rent and living needs such as food ,clothes, and educational courses in egypt : which is approximately 800 Usd per months for at least 12months.

•Visa application, flight tickets and bank account to Germany to complete our speciality training as we lost our work and speciality training in Gaza ~ 12000 USD *2

• Fees for money transfer .

• Fees for Gofundme = 2.9%+ 0.3$ for each donation.
