Help Julie Osborn, LCSW
Three years ago I had the good fortune to meet Julie Osborn, LCSW, Psy.D at CAV Academy's Continuing Education Retreat for Therapists in Hawaii. Julie has long had her own private practice in Irvine, CA and does so much for the community-at-large.
We recently had an opportunity to meet again this past July at the CAV Academy retreat in Maui. Shortly after her return from Maui, Julie started experiencing abdominal pain and ended up in the ER. Julie was diagnosed with ovarian cancer -- and after self-advocating and working through a variety of health insurance obstacles, had surgery two weeks ago. Luckily the cancer is categorized as Stage One; doctors believe they got all the cancer but now begins the work of chemotherapy treatment. Though Julie is a very upbeat and positive person her recovery has been challenging. Hers was a BIG surgery and as a result she suffered a pinched nerve in her left leg so at present she is unable to walk on her own.
I offered to put together this gofundme in her behalf since she is presently unable to work and is the primary leaseholder on her multi-office space. Any contributions will help her; at a minimum please keep her and her family in your prayers.
