Help Dr. Noura and her family reconstruct their life in Gaza

Hi, I'm Giulia Ghirardi, I live in Italy, and I'm helping Noura Hejazy, sister of my husband Abdel Mnem, who lives in Gaza and who asked me to create this fundraiser to help her and her family rebuild their destroyed life .

Noura is a 26 year old doctor. She has a difficult history but over the years he was able to build, with his great will and sacrifices, a happy life with her new family until this horrible war began in the Gaza Strip.

She grew up without a father and in difficult economic conditions. She is a very persevering and intelligent girl, so much so that she achieved the highest marks in school which then helped her obtain the qualification to enter the University of Medicine which has always been her dream. He obtained a medical degree with top marks. During her medical studies her mother became seriously ill and Noura took care of her until she sadly passed away. She then found happiness with her husband, engineer Baraa (30), and today they have a beautiful baby boy named Yasser who is 1 year old.

Noura, until the beginning of the war, lived in Gaza City with her young family in a lovely house, where they have beautiful memories and to which they are still attached. They had to evacuate from their house which was then destroyed by the bombings, together with the car and the belongings they had, and they took refuge inside the hospital where he worked but unfortunately they were injured by a missile fragment. It was no longer safe to even take refuge in the hospital and from there they began to move to save their lives, finding shelter in 10 different places until they reached the city of Rafah in the south where they are now.

Everything disappeared in an instant, dreams, happiness, security and only death appears all around them.

Today they live in an agricultural field inside a precariously constructed tent. They are experiencing the worst days of their life and trying to survive with the minimum of life needs that are difficult to meet such as preparing a hot meal which requires many hours of fire due to lack of gas, reaching a toilet, finding water and the necessary food which have become very expensive. Infectious diseases, anemia and poor nutrition spread among them, especially due to the growth of little Yasser. They feel their lives are in danger every day amidst killings and destruction.

Despite this, Noura continues to volunteer for healthcare providers and provides medical care to those injured in war.

Her greatest wish is for this horror to end as soon as possible and for a ceasefire to be reached and to recover what they lost during this war. She hopes to raise her son in a healthy place, return to their cozy home and sweet life, and complete her residency in family medicine. The funds raised will be used to rebuild their home and their lost possessions.

The funds will be collected by me in Italy and then transferred to a bank account in Gaza.

Ciao, sono Giulia Ghirardi, vivo in Italia, e sto aiutando Noura Hejazy, sorella di mio marito Abdel Mnem, che vive a Gaza e che ha chiesto di creare questa raccolta fondi per aiutare lei e la sua famiglia a ricostruire la loro vita distrutta.

Noura è una dottoressa di 26 anni. Ha una storia difficile ma con gli anni ha saputo costruire, con la sua grande volontà e sacrifici, una vita felice con la sua nuova famiglia fino a quando è iniziata questa orribile guerra nella Striscia di Gaza.

E’ cresciuta senza padre e in condizioni economiche difficili. E’ una ragazza molto perseverante e intelligente tanto da raggiungere il punteggio più alto a scuola che le è servito poi per ottenere la qualifica per entrare all’Università di Medicina che è sempre stato il suo sogno. Ha ottenuto la Laurea in Medicina con il massimo dei voti. Durante il suo percorso di studi in medicina sua madre si è ammalata gravemente e Noura si è presa cura di lei fino a quando purtroppo è mancata. Ha poi trovato la felicità con suo marito, l'ingegnere Baraa (30), e oggi hanno un bellissimo bambino di nome Yasser che ha 1 anno.

Noura, fino all'inizio della guerra, viveva a Gaza City con la sua giovane famiglia in una casa adorabile, dove hanno bellissimi ricordi e ai quali sono ancora legati. Sono dovuti evacuare dalla loro casa che è stata poi distrutta dai bombardamenti, insieme all’auto e ai beni che avevano, e si sono rifugiati all’interno dell’ospedale dove lavorava ma purtroppo sono rimasti feriti da un frammento di missile. Non era più sicuro nemmeno rifugiarsi in ospedale e da lì hanno cominciato a spostarsi per salvare le loro vite trovando riparo in 10 luoghi diversi fino a raggiungere a sud la città di Rafah dove si trovano ora.

E’ sparito tutto in un attimo, i sogni, la felicità, la sicurezza e compare solo morte tutto attorno a loro.

Oggi vivono in un campo agricolo all’interno di una tenda realizzata in modo precario. Stanno vivendo i giorni peggiori della loro vita e cercano di sopravvivere con il minimo delle esigenze di vita che sono difficili da soddisfare come preparare un pasto caldo che richiede molte ore di fuoco per la mancanza di gas, raggiungere un servizio igienico, trovare l’acqua e il cibo necessari che sono diventati carissimi. Si diffondono tra loro malattie infettive, anemia e cattiva alimentazione soprattutto per la crescita del piccolo Yasser. Si sentono in pericolo di vita ogni giorno tra uccisioni e distruzione.

Nonostante questo, Noura continua a fare volontariato per i fornitori di servizi sanitari e fornisce assistenza medica a chi è ferito in guerra.

Il suo più grande desiderio è che finisca al più presto questo orrore e si arrivi ad un cessate il fuoco e di recuperare quello che hanno perso durante questa guerra. Spera di far cresce suo figlio in un luogo sano, di tornare a vivere nella loro casa accogliente e alla loro dolce vita e di completare la sua specializzazione in medicina di famiglia. I fondi raccolti serviranno a ricostruire la loro casa e i loro beni perduti.

I fondi verranno raccolti da me in Italia e poi trasferiti su un conto corrente a Gaza.
