Help Dr. Robles, Beloved Educator, Recover from Eaton Fire
Donation protected
Dr. Robles, a beloved Pasadena-born resident and dedicated educator, has called Altadena/Pasadena home for his ENTIRE life. He has served as an educator in Pasadena Unified School District (PUSD) schools for nearly 30 years and is currently an Assistant Principal at John Muir High School.
I met Dr. Robles as Assistant Principal at my son’s high school about 5 years ago. I quickly grew to respect and appreciate his love for students and community. As an active community member, Dr. Robles, has organized and led students to march in the Latino History Parade for many years, he has helped to organize school supply drives for students in our community, and works tirelessly to create a safe and loving student-centered campus at his high school. He is truly loved and respected by many students, their families, and colleagues.
On January 8th, Dr. Robles tragically lost his family home in the devastating Eaton Canyon fires.
This house was not just a home; it was where he raised his three children. They spent their entire lives in the area and created childhood memories playing in the parks, participating in local little leagues, attending fairs, learning to ride their bikes, and walking their dogs.
Dr. Robles’s children are third-generation Altadena residents. Their entire life memories are tied to Altadena. Dr. Robles’s memories of his children, from birth to adulthood, are tied to this city.
Your contributions will help Dr. Robles and his family through this incredibly challenging time. These funds will assist with unexpected costs and support their journey to rebuild their lives.
Altadena is a historically Brown and Black working-class community and it will take great support to ensure it stays that way for generations to come.
Together, we can help Dr. Robles’s family stay in Altadena and continue his invaluable contributions to our community.
