Help Dragon Recover

Hi my name is Ahmad Henry better known as “THEYUNGDRAGON”. I am a creative loving native from Atlanta, Georgia. I help throughout the community boosting love and awareness through my brand TheGoodGasCo.

On Saturday, August 14, 2021 as I was preparing to leave my job I was shot by a stray bullet from a drive by shooter.  The bullet came through the window of my job and shattered a bone in my leg.  It remains lodged in my leg. At the moment no one knows who did it but all I can say is that I’m happy to be alive.

I told myself I’d rather be alive and in pain than dead, but I am struggling. As soon as I got shot I was immediately rushed to Grady Hospitals trauma unit until they stabilized me, stopped the bleeding and managed the pain. Although Grady is an amazing trauma hospital once the traumatic event is stabilized they refer you out for non trauma follow up. I was rushed out of the hospital and followed up with an orthopedic doctor.  I will have 8 weeks of followup activity to better my leg then after that I can train my muscle to learn to walk again.

So far I have about $16,000 in bills from Grady not including ambulance.  I haven’t even completed week one of my eight week program.

I do not have health insurance so my expenses are self pay and out of pocket.  By the end of week eight my bills will add up to an estimated $50,000.

Being immobile and out of work will be the hardest part. I have a family...and I am the daily primary caretaker of my 5 month old daughter. Although I estimated $50,000 I am asking for $30,000
