Help Dustie Battle Stage 4 Endometrial Cancer

Donation protected
Hi everybody! My name is Dustie and I am creating this Go Fund Me page on behalf of myself. 9 months ago I had to have a full hysterectomy due to cysts on my ovaries and a very enlarged uterus. They sent samples off for a biopsy and the results came back as stage 4 Endometrial cancer. The tumor started in my uterus and my uterus was 9 times larger than normal. I had cancer cells in my ovaries, my cervix, and my omentum (the fat layer surrounding my abdomen). The hysterectomy removed everything but I still needed to kill the remaining cancer cells. I was recommend to have a scan to see if the cancer had spread to any other parts of my body. When the scan was done, they told me they found some cancer cells in my lymphnodes.

Now the journey of fighting cancer has started....

The doctor says he wants to fight this cancer aggressively because I am at a high risk for the cancer spreading. I will have a total of 6 rounds of chemotherapy and 28 rounds of radiation. I have already had 2 rounds of chemotherapy and it has been really rough. I am down for about 5 days after each round. Nausea, vomiting, and diarrhea are just a few of the symptoms I experience after each round. I had to have a second surgery to insert a port under the skin for my chemotherapy infusions. I do have a full time job and insurance but between the hysterectomy, the chemo treatments, and being sick, I have had to miss alot of work. The doctor bills keep rolling in and unfortunately my insurance does not cover all of my medical bills.

My family and friends have been my support group. They have given me love, support, and lots of prayers. This has been an emotional roller coaster for my family. We have good and bad days. I am a positive person but this diagnosis has rocked me financially, physically, mentally, and emotionally. I take it one day at a time, trying to focus on a positive outcome.

I am creating this Go Fund Me page to help with doctor bills and living expenses due to missing work. Asking for help is very difficult for me. I was taught you work for what you want and do whatever you need to do to get what you want in life, so asking for help is not easy for me. Unfortunately, I am having to ask for help now. If you could find it in your heart to donate, I would be beyond grateful. Your kindness and generosity would mean the world to my family and I during this difficult time. Even if all you can do is share this page or send support and prayers, I would be extremely grateful. Thank you so much for everything!

Update: I have completed my 6 rounds of chemo and my 28 rounds of radiation. It was rough and I am happy to be done with that part of treatment. I will continue to do a year of maintenance chemo to help reduce the risk of another tumor forming. Since the year has started, I have not meet my insurance deductible and the medical bills have been getting larger and larger since I have not meet my deductible for the year. I am truly sorry that I have to ask for money. It is truly a humbling experience! Thank you guys for all of the support, love, prayers, and donations!
