Help Dustin and the Stogner Family

Please join me in helping the Stogner family during this unexpected medical emergency and journey for Dustin. Dustin had an emergency surgery due to a total bowel obstruction. The surgery was meant to remove the obstruction, but there is far more damage than the surgeon anticipated, so she was unable to operate and ended up giving him a loop colostomy. He has to heal up and then start going to Seattle for consultations and plan for a much bigger surgery. There will be several trips to Seattle and likely about a year of procedures and recovery.

Both Dustin and Meggie have already taken some leave,  but will need to take much more in the months to come. While Family Medical Leave Act will preserve Dustin’s job, it will be unpaid. So once he runs out of leave time, they will be down to one paycheck. The fund will go to medical expenses, costs associated with travel (tickets, hotel, rental car, figuring out what to do with Grey, etc.) and the point where Dustin will be without income. 

Both Dustin and Meggie work in social services (he works with adults with severe mental illness, she works with programs throughout the state that provide services to victims of domestic violence and sexual assault), so they are both used to being on the other end of helping people. Let's show them some love, and help where we can.
