Help DYAC Youth Rebuild
On Monday, June 12, 2017, our youth DYAC baseball team showed up to practice as we do every Monday to find our batting cages vandalized - missing the recently donated L Screen, and batting net. As you know this is devastating for the entire league. Throughout the years we have worked tirelessly with existing and past coaches to ensure our equipment stays safe. We do this to continue to stay competitive with other communities, but also, to allocate some of the donation/fundraising monies we receive to families that can't afford the program in its entirety. However, in recent times, our fundraising opportunities have become limited because of other youth fundraising programs. The financial times have made it more difficult to cover all fundraising opportunities that arise. We understand this. Worth mentioning, is that aside from our two (newer) stolen items, our equipment is pretty old. Our need is great. We are hoping that by bringing attention to this great loss we can bring awareness to the fact that this type of theft affects more than just our equipment count, it's theft from our youth and youth programs!
Thank you. Please know all donations, no matter the amount, are greatly appreciated.
