Help Dying Teen Break the Silence in Final Days...
Tax deductible
With weeks left to live, my brother Eric Erdman, is spending his remaining time and energy helping other children and teens. Every cent raised from this campaign will go toward building a brand new gym at the winning high school, which will be announced February 18th, 2020. Let's all come together to help these communities!
SCHOOL FINALISTS
On behalf of Eric, we are proud to announce the “Give a Child a Voice Fitness Center Give-A-Way” finalists:
Saugus High School in California
Life Secondary School Oak Cliff in Texas
Let's all come together to help these communities!
ABOUT ERIC / GIVE A CHILD A VOICE
In 2016, after Eric was diagnosed with a rare and aggressive form of brain cancer - Anaplastic Ependymoma Grade III - the Make-A-Wish Foundation contacted Eric to ask him what his wish would be. Instead of requesting an experience that only he would benefit from, Eric became one of only three percent of Make-A-Wish recipients to “pay it forward” with their wish, by creating the T.E.K Foundation CC, Inc., operating as Give a Child a Voice . The foundation works to put an end to child abuse, bullying, as well as life threatening childhood illnesses, all circumstances Eric has faced.
As a child, Eric was a victim of bullying and child abuse. He found strength and healing through going to the gym and building up his mind and body. With his foundation, Eric chose to transform the gym at his high school so he could give other kids a safe space to escape their pain and build their physical and mental strength. With the leftover funds, he refurbished the gym at his rival high school. This next gym will be the foundation’s third gym makeover.
After reading through hundreds of emotional and heart-felt fitness center giveaway submissions, Eric found the Saugus High and Life School Oak Cliff submissions especially touching. As most know, Saugus High School experienced a fatal school shooting in November of 2019. Life School Oak Cliff has also experienced a tough year with a student suicide and lack to access to any athletic facilities at all.
Join me, Eric and his foundation team, and let's all come together to encourage and inspire the many boys and girls who are suffering in silence today.
Please help us raise funds so that Eric's legacy may live on, more children will find the courage to speak out, and the Give a Child a Voice Fitness Centers will eventually be nationwide.
