Help EAD & Horses Due to Recent Barn Fire

Tax deductible
On 5/26/2021, Equine Assisted Development 's barns went up in flames. Gratefully, no one was injured and all of the horses were saved in the process. Deb VanderBand, the Executive Director and her husband who started the non-profit 10 years ago have invested their whole lives in to building the non-profit to what it is today and spent two years remodeling the barns on the property and have spent the last 5 years on this location reaching the hurting in the local Kentwood, Grand Rapids and greater West Michigan community.

The horses see and work with at-risk youth, trauma victims, those suffering from depression, anxiety and PTSD on a weekly basis. Having survived 2020 and everything that COVID-19 had brought, they were hopeful to begin 2021 with a full calendar of events and horse therapy programs. Sadly due to the devastating fire, all their plans have been put on hold. I have started this GoFund me for immediate funds for the horses and their care and for continuing valuable programming to those who need it the most in the local community.
