Help Ease Cheryl's Medical Journey

My name is Nikki and I’m starting this GoFundMe for my sister Cheryl. She was full of life and ready to start college after she graduated but suddenly became sick. Cher was diagnosed with ulcerative colitis at age 18. At age 20, she had a total proctocolectomy. After surgery, she was diagnosed with Crohn’s Disease. At age 24, she developed Enterocutaneous Fistulas and had them up until 39. Just about 3 weeks ago, she had a very serious surgery to repair the fistulas and skin on her stomach. Since the hospital stay, she is now fighting an infection which will make recovery time even longer than expected. Cher has a temporary ileostomy bag for the next four months until they are able to reverse the surgery.

She is on the road to recovery but is going to need some help. She has a 6-year-old girl and an 8-year-old boy. They have been a huge help to her and what keeps her strong. She is the sole provider in her home on very little income. She doesn’t like asking for help from anyone so I decided to make this GoFundMe to possibly ease some of her worries financially.
