Help Ease Costs for Marissa's Family

It is with profound heartache and sorrow that we find ourselves seeking support to help with the costs for my niece.

My niece Marissa was tragically taken from us on 4/16.

She was at a house party, a young man brought a loaded gun and informed everyone it was loaded before leaving it unattended. Subsequently, an intoxicated individual picked up the gun, aimed it at my niece, and discharged it. The weapon was not a simple firearm but a shotgun. The shooter fled the scene; however, detectives were able to locate and apprehend him.

At just 20 years old, she was embracing life to the fullest, as many young adults do. She was joyful, cherished by countless people, and adored her furry and reptilian pets. Her kindness was immense, but it was her soul that truly sparkled. Her departure from this world was too soon, and utterly preventable.

Marissa was the second eldest of four siblings.

Her mother, an elementary school aide, unfortunately requires assistance to manage these unforeseen expenses.

The shock of such a tragedy leaves no one prepared.
