Help Ease Rick's Journey Through Cancer

Hello, my name is Brandon Gonyea and I never thought I would be doing this, but here I am. My dad, Rick Gonyea (aka OPPIE), has been diagnosed with esophagus cancer. Now, my dad will need radiation and chemo 5 days a week for 6 weeks in Nashville, TN. My parents will stay in a hotel or a house through Vanderbilt, but either one will require a fee, not to mention food.

After this treatment, my dad will wait 7 weeks and then have surgery to remove the esophagus. He will be in the hospital for about 7 days and again, my mom will need lodging. Before all this starts, my dad needs at least 2 more visits. This is going to be a financial drain for my parents but if somehow we can lighten this burden, they can just focus on my dad healing and getting better. Anything that can be done is appreciated, but most of all, prayers are what is needed most.

My dad has always been generous and is always willing to help anyone else or make them smile, let’s do the same for him. God Bless.
