Help ease the burden for Dhon’s family

Donation protected
As many of you may or may not know Dhonavanh Cain who is a senior at South Albany high school was in a terrible accident on Thursday night after the girls basketball playoff game. He was life flighted to Salem and was then life flighted to Portland where he is currently in ICU. This a very scary and unknown time for his family. I am hoping we can come together as a community to help support this family at a time in need. At this point we have no idea how long it will be required that Dhon has to stay in Portland, but we do know it will come with a ton of expense. Whether that’s from medical bills, loss of time at work, or simply having necessities such as food. Dhon has so many people that love him and so many different families around him. Whether that is his wrestling family, football family, track family or young life family. I know we can all come together and let this family focus on getting Dhon strong and getting him home!

Here is a little Bio for those who don’t know Dhon to well.

Dhonavanh was born in Minnesota. His family includes his mom Phan, brother’s Duece (Phaly) and Devin, sister’s Deja and Daisy. After a year or so the family moved to Sergeant Bluff, Iowa. This is where Dhon spent most of his younger years.

In Middle School after his older siblings moved off for college and such Phan, Dhon and Daisy moved to Lincoln, Nebraska.

Dhon wanted something new and as we all know is ready for adventure. So in the midst of COVID his brother Duece bought a house in Albany, Oregon and Dhon made the move the summer of 2020.

Since then he’s been a huge part of the South Albany High School community involved in 3 sports and attending lots of activities. He also is involved in Young Life and goes to Pioneer Church with his friends on Sundays.

There are so many layers to Dhon’s life, and it’s been beautiful to see support from so many different circles.
