Help Ease the Transition to New Beginnings in Washington
Donation protected
Hi Friends and Family! After 22 years of rooting in the Sonoran Desert on the ancestral homelands of the Tohono O’odham and Yoeme peoples, it is time for me to make my trek to the Pacific Northwest to replant my roots in the mossy soil of Vancouver, Washington. This move holds many firsts for me: first time not living in the same city as my mom, first time pursuing a high-earning career in the realm of racial equity work in a large K-12 school district (putting my M.Ed to high-functional use), first time moving as a fiancée, first time living away from my closest friends and family, and first time moving out of AZ since I was 11 years old. This is one of the healthiest risks of my life and I am overjoyed to embark on this transition. ❤️
The gratitude I feel for the folks who have privately supported me so far in navigating the possibility of this new journey and transition, is overwhelming. I couldn’t have made it this far without my closest friend, Ana, my momma, and my fiancée. These folks have kept my cup full, and have helped me hold a mirror to my capabilities.
I have designated the GoFundMe goal to reflect what I’ve already spent on a small cargo moving van, travel arrangements, lodging, and projected gas and food. (You know a Virgo like me has a full spreadsheet with a cost analysis!)
My mom, best friend, Dolly, Beasley, and I will embark on our 3 day, 22 hour journey up the Pacific coast, to arrive to my sweetheart in Vancouver on June 17th. Please consider donating to lessen the financial load for my next adventure.
Going away gathering date TBD!
