Help Ease Tina Burkhart's Funeral Costs

Update 7/2/24 Dad and I went to the funeral home today. The funeral arrangements were $7331 plus it costs $2300 to open and close the vault. Thank you to everyone who has donated so far! You all are amazing! We still have long way to go though, so please share this with family and friends. Let's see if we can take some burden off Daniel. Fighting cancer himself was tough enough.. he doesn't need to stress.

Update 12:00pm today 7/1/2024, Tina Jill Zahn Burkhart passed away. It's been a hard fight and a very tough on for my Dad. He needs help now more than ever. Please help if you can.

I am raising money for my stepmother, Tina Burkhart's funeral arrangements. She is currently taking her last breaths. At 10:30am this morning, Hospice let my Dad know that she likely won't make it through the day. Unfortunately, she did not have a Will, nor did she appoint anyone as Executor of Estate. We have been by her side all day, singing to her, playing music for her, trying to ease her way out of this world and into the next.

Tina was born on 8/24/1947. She is a wonderful person who loves the arts, classical music, and taking care of children.

She has had a disability for nearly 36 years. In the 1980s, her 2-story apartment complex caught on fire. In order to save her children, she lowered them both out of the 2nd story window, to safety, and then jumped out. During the fall, she fractured her spine in several places. Due to her injuries, she was never able to work again.

As some of you know, my Dad spent the last 8 months battling cancer. Thanks to all the help from you guys, he has remained cancer-free. Tragically, just a month after he found out he was cancer-free, he ended up in the ER with her. While in the hospital, they found out that she had Terminal Cancer of the liver, stomach, and lungs. She knew something was wrong for a while, but she didn't want to go get checked out until my Dad was better. The diagnosis has absolutely rocked my father and the rest of the family. Tina's selfless act allowed my father to get the help that he needed, and sacrificed her own life to make sure he got help.

Both Tina and my Dad are on fixed income. Tina has money in the bank, but we are unable to access any of it to help with funeral arrangements. My dad has a little bit of money put back, but not enough to pay for service.
