Help Support Easton’s Recovery!

Hello everyone, I am posting on behalf of Chris, Destiny Hightower. This family needs our help! On March 25th, their 6 year old son, Easton went into severe septic shock and respiratory failure. This was all due to complications of an aggressive Strep A infection. Easton was in critical condition requiring life support measures like intubation, dialysis and required 2 nurses at all times. His major injuries included: a collapsed lung, liver failure, and extensive kidney injuries leading to kidney failure (hence dialysis). He had extremely low blood pressures, requiring 3 medications to sustain healthy pressure levels to get his body as much perfusion as possible. He had severe levels of inflammation in his body which was initially pretty concerning for brain damage. His heart also had to work incredibly hard to compensate for all of this and he was closer to death than any parent could be prepared for.

Chris and Destiny are kind, hardworking, incredibly generous people who never ask for anything. Between cost of travel to get to the hospital (1.5 hours away), taking time off of work, caring for their 2nd son Carson and all the unknown costs ahead for potential complications, therapies, hospital bills and procedures- they need our help. Please help support this amazing family, so we can help Easton get back to soccer and Zelda as soon as possible!
