Help Ecuadorian families to survive the COVID-19

Ayuda en Camino (Help on its way) is a community project of social aid, coordinated by CECTV and executed by neighborhood leaders and cultural managers who work in the low income settlements of the province of Guayas, Ecuador.
"As many cities in Latin America, a large segment of Guayaquil's population lives day to day , working in informal jobs, so to stay at home is not eating" (The New York Times, How Coronavirus Ravaged Ecuador video)
Our goal is to bring nutritious food to families from the most unprotected and vulnerable neighborhoods of the city of Guayaquil. We have partnered with the 'Association of Agriculturists' to obtain fresh fruits, vegetables and create food baskets that can ideally feed a family of 4 for 3 days.
With your help to reach this goal, we will be able to continue this project and provide around 100 baskets to community centers in 4 neighborhoods.
We are very grateful with any help you can provide and we will constantly share updates of our project for you to see the positive impact your donation will generate for these families.
"We are convinced that it is the organized people that can bring about the profound changes that our society needs. To achieve this, each one of us must participate and work together for the common good." Omaira Moscoso, President of CECTV

Sofia Grijalva:
Hi! I'm Sofia, I'm an Ecuadorian born in the city of Guayaquil currently living in Brisbane, Australia. I have created this campaign in order to support my family's foundation 'CECTV'. I have join forces with my friend Pamela to take this matter overseas, as while we are not currently living in Ecuador, we couldn't just be bystanders and ignore what has been going on within our beloved home city.
Pamela Jijon:
Hola, I'm Pamela, and like Sofia I'm also from the city of Guayaquil, but living in New Orleans, USA . I'm helping Sofia to create this campaign because I believe this project is making a positive impact , and is providing the lifeline needed for the families in Guayaquil. Given that 'gofundme' is not available in Ecuador, and the country's currency is USD, I will be taking the responsibilities of withdrawing the donated amount and ensuring that the money will safely reach the 'CECTV'.
How the funds will be spent:
We have calculated the approximated expenditure to make around 100 food baskets per community center (4 in total) as follow:
- Each basket for a family of 4 that will last for 3 days (includes 12 products) is amounted to $10 USD.
- Each community center will receive an equal portion of the targeted $4000 USD, which is then amounted to $1000 USD per center, for purchasing the products for the baskets.
