Help Eddie realize his dream

Hi, my name is Gladys, and I'm fundraising for Eddie. I came across an article from Barrie Today about a Barrie restaurateur on hunger strike and fighting against City Hall. I do not know the details of his fight. I do not know if this is a miscommunication, bureaucratic rigidity or hierarchy or both. What I do know is that his wife, Nicole, is very concerned about his health. It's been more than 10 days since he went on hunger strike. Nicole told me that they are waiting for an act of compassion from the City, to advocate for changes in the City's procedures to avoid errors, and to raise awareness so that other small businesses will not experience the same and lose their life savings on a project.

I hope the City of Barrie works with Eddie in resolving the issue and finally giving him the go signal to operate.

What's heartbreaking is that a once-exciting project turned into a nightmare! Where initial joy and anticipation bloomed, now a formidable challenge!
