✨Support Eden in Beating Stage 4 Cervical Cancer and Her Dream of Becoming a Parent✨

We come together with both a heavy heart and steadfast optimism to launch this GoFundMe campaign in support of Eden and her husband Jared. Recently, our beloved Eden received the heartbreaking news of her stage 4 cervical cancer diagnosis.

After months of trying to get seen for abnormal bleeding, Eden was able to get an MRI and saw a gynecologist on July 5th. The doctor looked at her MRI and immediately referred her to a Gynecological Oncologist at Cedars Sinai who got her in the very next day. July 6th, the doctor diagnosed Eden with stage three cervical cancer, after seeing a tumor in her cervix on the MRI. The doctors at Cedars Sinai began moving quickly to determine the extent of the cancer and potential treatments, assembling a team of doctors and supportive care specialists to help her win the battle against this disease.

On July 17th, Eden received a PET scan which found a small number of lymph nodes in her chest, taking her diagnosis from stage three to stage four cervical cancer. Immediately, Eden and Jared began to work with their team and created her treatment plan of aggressive chemotherapy with four revolutionary cancer drugs taken once every three weeks for six sessions (18 weeks total). After chemo will be more imaging to see to what extent the drugs have killed the cancer, and assess if she will have surgery to remove lymph nodes and/or targeted radiation therapy. We are hoping the chemo will do wonders and melt the cancer away completely.

The doctors have provided encouraging news, affirming that her age, active lifestyle, and healthy eating habits contribute to her excellent chances of beating this. Additionally, Eden is benefiting from the latest medical advancements, receiving four groundbreaking cancer drugs that have revolutionized treatment within the past year. In light of these advancements, we were told to disregard online statistics from outdated treatments, finding solace in this beacon of hope among a sea of uncertainties.

Eden will be getting a medical port in her chest on July 25th to administer the chemo through, and her first infusion will be on July 27th.

One of the most unfortunate aspects of this news is that Eden likely won't be able to carry children after aggressive chemo and radiation treatments. In addition to beginning Eden’s treatment next week, (7/27) Jared and she are working closely with fertility doctors in hopes of harvesting and freezing her eggs so they can preserve their dream of having a family of their own.
