Help Edna, Our Beloved Neighbor in Need after Eaton Fire

Edna Clowers is my disabled 78 year old neighbor who has been a resident of Altadena since 1966. She’s lived in our beautiful blue apartment for the last 25 years. She retired from her LA county job in 2002 and since her boyfriend’s passing in 2006 she has been living by herself. She is one of our oldest neighbors and scolds us if we swear (not allowed even during the chaotic Eaton fire). Her health has been getting worse and she was recently in the hospital last Dec (though she came back strong and spry!).

Even until last Thursday, Edna wanted to go back home and clean up her apartment. Now we know that it might be a long time till any of us are allowed back even to gather belongings, and that our place might not be safe for living for a long time. As such, Edna has made the difficult decision to move at 78yo in order to prioritize her health and wellbeing. Your support will help Edna cover costs not covered by other forms of aid.
