  Hello, My name is Edouard, and I hail from the bustling city of New York. When I was seven, I dreamt of becoming a farmer with a herd of cows, but my mom pointed out the challenges of managing their, well, "output." So, I pondered alternatives and came up with a brilliant idea: bees. For my birthday, I asked for bees and received an incredible gift of 80,000 of them. Now, I run a small business called #mieledouard—check it out on Instagram! I sell honey at a charming store in New York called “Madison Fare,” where the owner is wonderfully kind. On weekends, I visit my bees with Tom, a seasoned beekeeper. Together, we ensure our bees are happy and healthy, leaving enough honey for them to thrive. The garden buzzes with life as birds, butterflies, and dragonflies revel in the bees' incredible work. My current mission is to save bees worldwide, starting with a fundraising campaign for Fauna and Flora, a charity dedicated to impactful conservation efforts for over 50 years. They work tirelessly to save animals and preserve ecosystems globally. You can be part of this adventure and help save the bees in Belize. Honey bees are crucial for pollination, biodiversity, and food security. They pollinate 70 out of the top 100 human food crops, supporting 90% of the world’s nutrition. Bees are a keystone species, vital for maintaining ecosystem health and supporting diverse animal populations. One-third of global food production depends on them, and their decline would severely impact crop yields and food security. Beekeeping also provides livelihoods worldwide, producing honey and valuable products like beeswax and propolis. Protecting bees involves reducing pesticide use, preserving habitats, planting bee-friendly flowers, and supporting ethical honey production—efforts Fauna and Flora manage daily in Belize to ensure a sustainable future for its wildlife and communities.
