HELP ED'S LAST DAYS END WITH CARE
Donation protected
Ed Luchessa was diagnosed a year ago with stage 4 cancer. Prostate that turned into bone cancer. After chemo and two radiation sessions, the cancer has spread throughout his body. It's heartbreaking to witness the cancer take over his entire body.
We brought in Hospice this week. Instead of a nursing home, I wanted Eddie to be in a familiar home, comfortable, and amongst family so he has moved into Max's bedroom. Max is able to come down from UCSB to spend whatever time is left with his dad. With Hospice we have to have a caregiver here when we are at work and the cost is more than we can afford (MediCare doesn't cover a caregiver). Any help you can provide that will allow Eddie to stay in the comfort of our home until he's ready to go to that special place in the sky will be a blessing and so appreciative. The closer to the end, Eddie will need a caregiver around the clock. That could be within the next 2-4 weeks-it is very hard to tell. so whatever we can do to make him as comfortable as possible and guarantee he has the around-the-clock nurses and caregivers would be so helpful.
Thank you for being of service and coming from a place of love & kindness,
Ally
