Hello, My name is Michelle, Eddie's fiance. Those of you who have had the pleasure to be around and enjoy time with Eddie, if you are family, friends or friends of friends know how great of a human being Eddie is. He geniunely is a great person inside and out. He would do anything for anyone and is always willing to lend a helping hand anyway possible. If you've had the pleasure of meeting him through work, someone you know and or on a fishing trip, which is 100% one of his passions you know how much fishing is his life. Well, after the start of all his health issues it has put him in a different mental state, he hasn't had the passion and desire to enjoy life as we have rememebered it when it comes to loving to be around family, friends and of course to fish and being outside enjoying all he has always loved. In the last year and a half depression and his health issues have truly made it hard to do what he's loved all his life since he was a young boy. We have had many calls and messages from those who love him, asking how they could help and in what way can they donate or find out how to donate a kidney, money etc. So, we have finally decided and have come to starting this GoFund Me page. We understand that not everyone can donate, but we ask if you could please share to your family, friends and collegues, anything will help at this time of need.
Those of you who may already know that we were hit with the news last yr 2020 of stage 4 Renal "kidney" Failure. On May of 2019 he got some blood work done and found out his kidney's were only woking at 37%, they put him on some medications and a strict diet. On June 9th, 2019 while traveling back from a local fishing trip he felt really sick and extreme vomitting. Blood pressure was really high at the urgent care and got more bloodwork done. Lost health insurance due to lack of work not long after. Fastforward to March 11, 2020 he was admitted to the hospital for extremely high blood pressure and got more blood work done. That is when we found out he was at stage 3 kidney failure.
He was put on more medications and hoping the kidneys would get better. Jan 11, 2020 they did some more bloodwork and at this point kidney function was at only 15%. Doctor explained to us that we need to get him ready for sugery ASAP to place catheter because next step was Peritoneal Dialysis. Surgery was a success and training began shortly after for at home Peritonea dialysis. So we chose PD dialysis so quickly after he can return to work. as of October 10th, 2021 he has not been able to go back to work due to weakness, muscle cramping, nausea, and dizzy spells. Very tired due to the lack of sleep because his machine alarm goes off 4-6 times a night. They gave him a new machine last month but still has trouble. They recently did an xray to see if the catheter is misplaced still waiting on results. This has put us in a extremely financial hardship that we haven't wanted to admit. He will be needing a kidney transplant as soon as possible. So this is gonna add more financial hardship.
