Help Education in Afghanistan

For young children from impoverished backgrounds in Afghanistan, the most promising path to social mobility is through quality education.
We started Pegah High School with the mission to provide the highest caliber of education to children in Afghanistan regardless of their socioeconomic background. Since our founding, we have dedicated a significant portion of our revenue to sponsoring students from low-income families to study at Pegah High School. Besides investing in quality education, in 2019, we granted scholarships to 132 students (11% of our student body) from low-income families. In particular, we have given priority to children of soldiers killed during the war and students from families who have lost family members during terrorist attacks.
Last year, the COVID-19 pandemic had a devastating impact on our operations and finances. Despite losing half our revenue, we maintained our commitment to financially support all of our teachers and staff. However, this came at the expense of our scholarship programs.
This year, we are dedicated to maintaining our financial assistance for students from families experiencing financial hardship.
In doing so, we need your help.
This campaign aims to provide financial sponsorship for 140 students, mainly from families that have been severely impacted by conflict and the COVID-19 crisis. Every $250 raised through this campaign will cover the annual tuition of a student in need. For each student that receives funding through this platform, we pledge to provide transportation, uniforms, textbooks, and stationary, thus amplifying your impact.
Thank you for your help in improving education in Afghanistan.
