Help Edwin Rivera's Family During His Recovery
Donation protected
Hi, I am Edwin Rivera. I am a regular, hard-working father of four kids. Their ages are 1 year old, 4 years old, 9 years old, and 16 years old. My 9-year-old has autism, as well as my 4-year-old. I never ask for help; I work hard for my family. I am a chef and kitchen manager.
I have recently fallen on some hard times. I had a heart attack a few days ago and was informed I have to have open-heart surgery on Monday morning, 1/26/25. I was informed by my job that I don’t have insurance because there was an issue when we switched providers and will not be able to get disability for 4 to 6 weeks. As you would imagine, I depend on my income to pay my bills and take care of my kids. I do not get any government assistance or any help besides me. My wife is a stay-at-home mom due to two of our kids having autism and our one-year-old. We just don’t trust anyone with our kids due to the craziness we see going on in the world.
I am here asking for any help. Anything will help just till I can get back to work. I don’t want to get evicted, lose my car, worry about utilities getting cut off, or not having food. This situation will have me out of work for at the very least 3 months, possibly more depending on if I have any complications. I am hoping that people will help me. My biggest fear is leaving my kids, who are disabled, here to fend for themselves and not seeing them grow up. So if you can find it in your heart, I would appreciate all help and prayers. Thank you for reading my story. I hope you guys find it in your hearts to help. God bless and thanks.
