Help Elaine Simmons with Medical & Recovery Costs

Our favorite San Franciscan, Elaine Simmons, suffered a stroke on April 17th. I am setting up this GoFundMe to help Elaine with out of pocket medical costs as well as personal costs while she is in a rehabilitation facility for the next several months. Her insurance is proving to be stubborn (as they all are)... for example, they cover her hospital and rehabilitation facility stays, but would not cover her transportation from one facility to another (!?!), even though the transfer required a medical van as she still can not walk, and was still hooked up to IVs, feeding tube, etc. Any help for Elaine would be much appreciated, and would go a long way in allowing her to stay focused on her recovery, vs. out-of-pocket medical costs and finances.
