Help Eldy and Magaly recover their lost GMU wages

Janitors Magaly Novoa and Eldy Lopez risk their health and lives, and that of their families, to do the back-breaking, life-saving work of keeping George Mason University students, faculty, and staff safe throughout the pandemic.
On February 8, Magaly and Eldy tried to turn in proper paperwork to their employer, Seth Ean Service, but were sent home and told not to come back, despite working tirelessly at GMU for a combined 22 years.
The mothers recently submitted evidence in support of charges that their employer violated their rights – charges their employer settled with the National Labor Relations Board (NLRB) rather than go to trial. This marked the second time a LT Services subcontractor settled charges by janitors who allege their employer intimidated and threatened workers in retaliation for legally protected union activity.
This week, Magaly and Eldy got their jobs back, but they have lost over a week's worth of wages. Please help us raise the funds to cover their lost wages.
My name is Bethany Letiecq and I am a faculty member at Mason. I am sponsoring this GoFundMe in partnership with Paola Choque Villarroel, a student leader of UndocuMason. Together, we hope to ensure Magaly and Eldy can recover their wages and feel supported by the larger Mason Nation and those of you who are allies for worker rights. Thank you for giving what you can.
