Help elect Neil Dowling to Fingal county council.

My name is Neil Dowling and I am honoured to have been selected by the Social Democrats to stand in the local election on June 7 next for Fingal County Council. I have put myself forward because as we all know its time for real change.

I have lived in the area since 2002 working in and for the community.

I and other volunteer members of Meakstown community council successfully lobbied for funding for a brand new €8 million Meakstown community centre and €2 million for Meakstown park playground.

I helped to Set up the local safety forum for Meakstown in association with the local drugs taskforce.

I volunteer with parkrun, and previously I was a volunteer NALA literacy tutor in the Finglas area.

Also as a volunteer mentor with Le Cheile I have worked with young offenders involved with the probation service.

And I was the volunteer coordinator for the meakstown community games.

I have a degree in criminology and social policy and have run my own business since 2012

If elected I will fight for

More social and affordable housing in our area

Fight for increased funding for community and youth services for all of our communities in the area

Help to ensure management companies provide value for money with their services

Push for Fingal to install mandated leisure and community facilities

Prioritise effective public transport for all areas of our community that meets the needs of the growing community.

I am passionate, hard-working and approachable and I am a member of Meakstown community council and I would love the opportunity to represent you on Fingal County Council.

I am raising money to fund my local election campaign and your donation will help me reach as many people in the LEA as possible:
