Help Elect Ray Cunningham to Dublin City Council
Donation protected
The local elections are in June this year, on the same day as the elections to the European Parliament. I'm hoping to be elected to Dublin City Council, to represent Ballyfermot-Drimnagh. I've lived in this constituency, in Walkinstown, for the last twenty years. I think I can be a strong local voice to argue for better council services, for more and better housing, and for fair and inclusive climate action.
Local elections may not be exciting, but they are important. Councillors who support progressive changes can push the council on to do better things. Others can delay and block even the simplest changes. Dublin needs people who are thinking of the future. That's why I'm standing for the Green Party.
I'm asking for your help to help pay for some basic election expenses:
- printing leaflets for canvassing
- delivering leaflets and letters
- printing the dreaded election posters
There are over 30,000 people living in Ballyfermot-Drimnagh, and it covers a wide area, from Cherry Orchard to Chapelizod to Walkinstown. Every donation helps me reach more of those people. I would appreciate anything you can spare.
Thanks for your support,
Ray
Legal stuff:
- Donors have to be resident in Ireland, or Irish citizens living abroad
- I won't accept corporate donations
- There's a maximum individual donation of 1,000 euro
- The maximum allowed for anonymous donations is 100 euro
I don't know which of those rules is least likely to be an issue, but anyway, there they are.
UPDATE: Thank you all so much for the donations, you've been very generous. So generous that I've raised the target!
