Help Elena & friends relocate from Ukraine

Hi, my name is Jen and I am fundraising for my friend, Elena Polovinkina, for food, accommodation, and travel while she relocates from Ukraine. With enough money raised, Elena hopes to obtain a visa to Western Europe, America, or Canada to rebuild her life, help her four friends she is traveling with, and assist her family.

 

Elena, pictured in the cover photo standing in the far back, is 25 years old. She was born in the Marganets and resided in Odessa when the war in Ukraine began. Elena studied psychotherapy and logistics in school and worked as a psychotherapist while maintaining a thriving Etsy shop as a bridal designer. She loved living in Odessa. She had a beautiful live/work studio on the sea and enjoyed a good life with friends and family.

 

Elena and I became friends when I placed an order for my son's 8th grade class with her shop, DreamsWorldBride, on Etsy. The shop had a beautiful selection of bridal and graduation corsages and boutonnieres. We worked together to create arrangements for the graduating class and she was a true pleasure to work with and get to know.

 

When Elena and her friends fled Oddessa, Elena's family remained behind. She is doing everything she can to help them escape Ukraine as well. Elena's friends are all professional young women - a nurse, barista, interior designer, and manicurist. They all need as much help as possible in this horrific time.

 

Please consider donating to Elena to help her rebuild her life and support her in helping her friends and family do the same. Due to Elena only having access to her one bank account in Ukraine, all funds will be channeled through my US account and wired directly to Elena. Any donation amount would be immensely appreciated.

Current update: Elena and friends are in Poland. They are in a shelter where they can sleep at night, but they are only fed once a day. All other food requires payment.
