Help Elena Reed With Emergency Debt

Elena Reed of Sydney is an amazing woman who needs our help. Turned out on the street at a young age, she overcame all obstacles and obtained three advanced degrees and became an entrepreneur. This woman has dedicated her life to helping others.

When her son was diagnosed with biliary artesia and required a liver transplant soon after birth, Elena saw the needs of those in similar situations and was able to raise $200,000 for medical equipment to make diagnosis and treatment easier for them. All totaled, Elena has raised over two million dollars for others in need.

In the seven years since her son's transplant, dealing with rejection, infections and repeated hospital stays, Elena never stopped raising money for other children to make sure they had equipment and parties that they needed and deserved.

Through the years, Elena has suffered assault and domestic violence. She has sacrificed all to make sure that her three boys are safe and protected. Elena has never lost sight of helping those around her.

Several months ago her world shattered with the diagnosis of aggressive, post-transplant cancer in her son. By the time it was caught, it had spread from his liver into his stomach and arm. He has endured several rounds of brutal chemotherapy, but the prognosis is still unknown.

During this time as Elena has taken care of her sons, juggled doctor's visits, education and meals for the family, she has been unable to work. Generous friends have donated time, meals and funds to help, but she is up against the wall now. Her bills for rent, food, utilities, education, etc. have not stopped. These daily expenses are chewing the family up as they go through the fight of their lives for her young son.

This woman has worked hard her entire life. Nothing was handed to her - she has had to fight for everything. And yet her heart has remained soft and caring for those in need. As of this writing, Elena has just 14 cents left in her bank account. She has over $10,000 due by October 23rd to make sure she and her boys have a place to live, a vehicle to drive and urgent personal debt is taken care of.
