Hello, We are Anwar & Sabreen and we are reaching out for urgent assistance for our family in Gaza. We're facing overwhelming challenges. Our family is large, consisting of 16 members, each with their own story and struggles.
Among us is my 63-year-old mother, the backbone of our family. Besides managing the household, she had a steady income from renting out properties, which has now been destroyed along with our homes. We have my eldest brother Nael, a former lecturer, his wife Samah, and their four children: Lana (13 years old), Hamza (10 years old), Sama (9 years old), and Alma (6 years old). Then there's my second brother Saber, a skilled engineer who lost his job, his wife Doaa, and their two children: Osama (9 years old) and Eyad (7 years old). My youngest brother Attah, a talented graphic designer, his wife Arwa, and their two young children: Alhassan (2 years old) and Hajer (2 months old). Also, there's my sister Yasmeen, 31 years old, who worked as a teacher but has also lost her job.
We once lived a life filled with happiness and prosperity, but the war has shattered everything. Since October 7th, our lives have been turned upside down. The conflict destroyed our homes, workplaces, and dreams. Tragically, on February 6, 2024, we lost our father due to the lack of medical treatment in the north of Gaza. Despite our frantic efforts to find help, the collapse of the healthcare system and the scarcity of resources meant he couldn't receive the care he needed. He suffered a stroke and endured a month without the intensive care that could have saved him.
The impact of these losses has been devastating. Many of us have lost our jobs. Saber, once a successful engineer, Nael, a respected lecturer, and Yasmeen, a dedicated teacher, are now without employment. We're struggling to navigate through these challenges and rebuild our lives amidst the ongoing crisis.
Furthermore, we urgently need funds to pay an Egyptian company called YAHALA to obtain permission to enter Egypt. Each adult requires between 5000 to 7000 euros, while each child needs 2500 to 3000 euros for the journey.
The situation in Gaza is dire, and we fear for the safety and well-being of our family members every day. Your support would mean the world to us and would help ensure the safety and survival of our loved ones. Thank you for considering our plea for assistance during these difficult times
