Help Eli through his fight !!

Eli was diagnosed with Adenocarcinoma Stage IIIB Lung Cancer on the 20th of  December 2018. A 39 year old self-employed dad to two young girls, Ava 12 & Olivia 9. He is married to Karen who is also self employed. Eli can always be found helping his neighbours or anywhere in the community helping out. It comes as a huge shock that somebody so young could be diagnosed with this disease especially for someone who is a non-smoker and lives a healthy lifestyle. It has completely puzzled Doctors and Family. He is the youngest lung cancer patient to ever be diagnosed at the Owen Sound Hospital.

Since the diagnosis, neither Eli nor Karen are able to work due to frequent trips back and forth to the London Cancer Clinic for chemo and radiation and his failing health. Being both self-employed they have no income coming into this household to support themselves and the family.

This all started back in November 2017 when Eli had a bad fall off of a roof which resulted in a ruptured spleen and a broken wrist. During a CT Scan they discovered a small spot on his lung and did numerous tests which all came back negative. They put him on TB medication that was to last for 18 months. After a year of a continuous cough and spitting up blood the family demanded a referral to a specialist in November 2018, resulting in another CT scan and the cancerous tumor was found.

All donations though this campaign will be used to help the family with living expenses, lighten the financial burden and ultimately help them focus on Eli’s health
