Hey everyone! My name is Elijah, I'm a 25 year old trans man living in Florida, and I have finally gotten my date for Top Surgery!

For folks that know me, you will know this has been not only a dream of mine for over 10 years, but it is also a fundamental step for my livelihood and survival. The discomfort and anxiety I face due to my chest has kept me from participating in a lot of my favorite activities like swimming and skateboarding, and binding (a method used to flatten your chest) has caused me physical pain and injuries that will only worsen the longer I bind.

Female to Male Top surgery is a live affirming procedure to create a more masculine-looking chest in transgender men - and a surgery that will finally grant me the freedom to simply exist in my body.

Living in Florida, a pioneer when it comes to anti-transgender legislation and hatred, the climate around gender affirming care is more volatile than ever. This procedure might not be accessible to me in a year from now, simply put.

I am asking for support from my community - friends, family, and even the pretty stranger reading this post - to help me start living my life to its fullest.

The procedure itself will take place May 10th and cost around 3,670$ not including after-care materials, and I will be out of work for a month while I physically recover - so any additional funds collected will be used to help hold me over till I can get back to work.
