Help Elisa Get Hip Surgery
Donation protected
My sister, Elisa Betson, could use some financial help. If you know her, you have probably noticed that since her two foot surgeries in 2020, her physical limitations have greatly increased. She recently found out that these limitations are most likely due to hip displaysia and Perthes disease, both of which she has probably had since she was a child. They have resulted in her needing to have two surgeries to replace both hips.
As you can imagine, Elisa is desperate to gain more mobility and quality of life so she jumped at the chance to schedule her first surgery for January 3rd, 2024. Recovery for this type of surgery is 6-12 weeks. After that, she will be able to schedule the second surgery. Her goal is for it to take place around the middle of 2024.
Elisa is a Registered Behavior Technician and loves the work she does with children. However, due to her physical limitations she is currently only able to work part time which has already put a strain on her financially. With two surgeries in a year, lots of physical therapy, and more loss of income, she needs some financial assistance so that she can keep her beloved job, apartment, and independence.
Elisa is a loving, caring, and generous person. She doesn’t like to ask people for help but is quick to offer help to others and is devoted to serving her church community at St. John Orthodox Cathedral.
Please consider donating to this fund which will be used to cover the cost of her surgeries and loss of income. We are so grateful to anyone who can help. Whether you are able to help financially or not, please consider sharing this with others and praying for her.
Our hope is that 2024 is the year she will once again be able to straddle a four-wheeler, take long walks, run around with kids she works with, celebrate by folk-dancing, and clean like a mad woman!
Thank you all,
