Help Elisheva Finish College!
Donation protected
My name is Elisheva Ray. I'm a senior at Kennesaw State University - about 25mi outside of Atlanta, GA. I
I created this fundraiser because I need help with paying my tuition balance along with related experiences.
I'm only three class shy of completion (Hooray!!) Which means, GRADUATION is just around the corner!! And my, what a journey it has been.
When I set my sights on getting my college education, my baby boy, Little Big, was still in diapers, crawling around on the floor, and just learning how to say my favorite word of all time, "Mommy."
Since that time, I've watched friends, family, and hundreds of classmates pass me by and graduate college, start careers and/or grow successful businesses - some even returning to college to get master's and doctorate degrees, as I trudge along and work towards my bachelor's.
During one particularly long stretch of being dropped out of college due to personal challenges, financial struggles (I ran out of financial aid), and suffering thrugh some significant learning challenges, I considered calling it quits. I have since, removed quitting as an option.
As I write this, I can hear my mom's reassuring voice inside my head, "Lishe, you're going to be just fine, and you're doing great! The only person you're in competition with is who you were yesterday."
That said, I used to be ashamed that it's taking me so long to finish college, but not anymore though. I'm proud of myself for sticking it out and making it this far. Graduating college has been a long-held dream.
On that note...
Will you please help me fulfill this final and crucial step by making a donation to help me pay the final balance of my college tuition? Any amount you can donate would help - $10, $25, $50, $100 or whatever amount you can give.
The funds I raise will also go towards related expenses including, textbooks & other required reading, student fees, graduation fees, as well as the fees that GoFundMe takes out.
Nothing is too small. And everything is appreciated.
As for my son, he's now 15 years old...soon to be 16. Can someone please pinch me?! And I want nothing more than to set a good example for him. Therefore, my hope, is that this victory along with my personal triumph over the challenges I've faced on my path to finishing college makes him proud when he sees mom walking across the stage as a college graduate.
Thanks a ton for your support!
