Help Eliza Go To National Youth Leadership
Donation protected
Hello! My name is Eliza Mitchem and it has always been my passion to help people, and mediate conflicts.
I have a strong interest in international relations and affairs- as well as global conflicts- and it’s my aspiration to work for the United Nations one day and become a diplomat. By donating, you can help me reach this goal by helping to cover for a summer program (that I have been struggling to pay for) that will teach me diplomatic skills, and help me fulfill my passion and my dream.
To provide more information, I was recently accepted to attend the National Youth Leadership Forum in Washington D.C, to learn about national security, intelligence, defense, and diplomacy. Through this program, I would be able to visit D.C for the first time, and gain hands on experience by not only hearing directly from subject-matter experts, but also having the opportunity to see the inner workings of government agencies, and foreign embassies during exclusive site visits.
This is a program that I was selected for based on my academic achievement, my passion, my hardwork and my drive- and I was super excited and grateful to have received this offer.
The catch for this dream summer program however, was that it came with a price tag of $3000 My family at the moment can not afford to pay for a program like this- we’ve been going through financial difficulties- and even though I have tried to work and save up money, it hasn’t amounted to much. I would hate to miss out on such an amazing opportunity that I worked to earn, simply because I could not pay for it.
This program means so much to me because it gives me a chance to study subjects that I am excited, and passionate about and it can give me the chance to pursue opportunities that I would not otherwise be able to pursue.
So it would mean the world to me if you could help contribute- even a little- to make a difference in my life, and help me pursue and study something I really love.
if you do I will send each and everyone of you a thank you card, and keep you updated on my time and experience there, so you understand how grateful I am and how much it means to me.
Thank You So Much
-Eliza
