Help Elizabeth decrease her pain!

Hi! As you all know by now on top of the brain neurosurgeries I have gone through I also have a spinal condition called Adhesive Arachnoiditis. It is a rare condition that I was diagnosed with 7 years after a botched blood patch. The blood patch was done to try to close a leak from a spinal tap that was performed a few days before.

The performing physician who did the blood patch injected the blood too deep into my spine and injected the blood into the spinal cord. The nerves that were affected and clumped are in my lumbar spine and sacrum.

Unfortunately the spinal cord damage is permanent and the condition is progressive. My neurosurgical team has advised me that my options are extremely limited for treatment but a spinal cord stimulator may be beneficial to decrease the painful sensations I feel in my legs. Right now it feels like hot oil is being splashed on my thigh. The SCS may help decrease the pain I feel. It of course is not guaranteed so a trial SCS is done before implantation. The trial has been scheduled for April 23rd for placement and lead removal 8 days later. If the trial goes well then a permanent SCS would be surgically placed.

since the doctors that are familiar with my spinal condition are in LA I will be traveling there for care.

I will fly back to LA and stay in an Air B&B to reduce cost. I need to be close to the neurosurgical team in Beverly Hills in order to make adjustments to the SCS.

I am on SSDI and figuring out how to come up with $3,000 in a short time has been difficult. I am reaching out to you for any help you can offer. It has been an extremely difficult decision to make my financial struggle public,but this is too important to me to not try every avenue possible.

I will use all funds to pay for expenses such as Ubers and the Air B&B. Thank you for reading this and considering assisting me-I really appreciate it.
