Help Elizabeth battle glioblastoma (brain cancer)
Donation protected
On Wednesday March 6th, we found Elizabeth Lemmonds at her home in an unresponsive state. She was largely unconscious and could not walk or speak. We rushed her to the emergency room where a CT scan revealed a large tumor on the right side of her brain. She was immediately transferred to the ICU at Methodist University Hospital and prepped for emergency brain surgery.
If you know our mother, you know how passionate she is about helping others; she’s dedicated much of her life to the Memphis non-profit sector and is especially committed to local art and entrepreneurship. She has always believed that, with the right support, the underdog can create something monumental, and she has made it her mission to help everyone access the tools and resources they need to be successful.
But now it’s Elizabeth who needs our support.
Like millions in the United States, Elizabeth does not have health insurance. Everyone close to Elizabeth can attest to her strength, but she can’t do this alone. Getting treatment is just the first step in a long, hard battle. She will likely be disabled and will need physical therapy, and that’s on top of everyday bills and expenses.
Please help give Elizabeth the love and support she works so hard to give others. Every contribution, no matter how small, is greatly appreciated. Even if you’re not able to donate, please share and spread the word. Thank you.
