Help Elizabeth Secure a Home for Her Children

My name is Elizabeth Sedgwick Langford, I have 8 children that I share custody of. I'm reaching out for assistance with a deposit on a rental that I have been lucky enough to have the opportunity to rent.

I had to move from my previous house last winter and my kids went to live with their dad in South Dakota for the season. I did not want him to move and couldn't stop him in time, the legal system and hiring a lawyer felt so overwhelming and expensive. Because of the move, I have to drive 10 hours each way to visit or see my kids. I got them 3 weeks ago with the intention of not making them go back. They love and miss me and their education has suffered greatly while they are with their dad.

My ex-husband refuses to put them in school, he has used my oldest children to be proxy parents for years, parentifying them, and I know that they would be better with me, making sure they are cared for, in school, and that their mother is available.

I have secured an amazing opportunity to take over a town house in Orem that has enough room for all of my children and all utilities +internet and HOA are included. It's a phenomenal price and something I will not be able to find again very soon.

All I need is the first month's rent to secure the lease until my income starts coming in.

I have been scraping by doing really well, but I don't have the savings for this lump sum.

I humbly and kindly ask that if you can, please donate even a little so that I can put this deposit down and secure the lowest rent and best possible situation for me and my children.

I won't come across this deal again. I am very eager to ask for all support that is out there while I also gather my resources to make this happen!
