Help Ellie attend Green Mountain!
Hello! My name is Ellie Taylor, and I am currently studying classical piano performance at the University of North Carolina School of the Arts. This summer, I plan to attend Green Mountain Chamber Music Festival, which would be an incredible opportunity for me to dedicate myself to music-making outside of the school year. Green Mountain emphasizes both solo playing and chamber (small ensemble) work, through private lessons, masterclasses, chamber music rehearsals, and a wide array of exciting workshops and performance opportunities. The thing that I'm looking forward to the most is performing with other musicians for a live audience again - it's a very special experience, and something that I have been missing for a while! I firmly believe that this program will broaden and strengthen my all aspects of my musical learning, but most importantly in the areas of discipline and collaborative playing.
The only thing standing in my way right now is money. In addition to the generous artistic grant I received from my school and a scholarship from the festival, I am picking up extra summer work to earn as much of the remaining funds as I can. However, there is still a gap that I cannot close through my own work, which is why I'm asking for your help.
