Stand By Elliot and Family

My neighbor Elliot is a 37 year old family man. He lives on a quiet street in Temecula where all of the neighbors look out for one another On Wednesday August 21, 2019, he heard shouting and a lot of noise coming from down the street. Being a good neighbor, he got into his SUV and drove down the street to find seven young men on the property of an older lady who lives alone; their behaviour looked suspicious. He asked them what they were doing and they started yelling obscenities at him and violently kicking his car. When Elliot got out of his car to look at he damages, he was attacked by all seven of the young thugs. All but one were minors.
They beat him severely, especially about the face and head. When he tried to get back into his car they continued to beat him and one of them gouged out his eyeball with an object or fingernail. They were not succesfull in removing the eye but the damage was so severe that he may never regain sight in that eye again. His jawbone under his other eye was broken.
Elliot is a family man with a wife and two children. He is self employed and may be unable to work for the next year. He has undergone one surgery with many more to come. The process of trying to save his eye will take at least a year. His best prognosis is that he has about a 30% chance of regaining any "useful" vision in that eye. Elliot's medical bills will be substantial and he has no income.
Please do what you can to support him and his family with prayers, money and encouragement; this could happen to any of us.
