Help Elliot play for Team USA

Hi everyone,

My name is Elliot Hawkins, I am a high school senior at Dupont Manual High School in Louisville, KY. I am pleased to announce that I have been selected for the U-20 Ultimate Frisbee USA National Team.

In order to prepare for World Junior Ultimate Championships in Birmingham, UK, the team has scheduled practices in Colorado in June, as well as a week of training camp in Chicago Illinois in July. The tournament will take place on July 20-27. It gives us the opportunity to play against various countries in one place, as well as showcase the best Ultimate at the youth level.

I first started playing Ultimate my freshman year of high school. I started out playing on a men's club team by the name of the Kentucky Colonels, Coached by Xavier Payne, Dan Cunningham, Chris Ginet, Corey Hardesty, Drew Happe, and Ben Landry. It is there I found my mentor in Xavier. He has helped me throughout my Ultimate journey as a friend and a remodel. I was also lucky enough to attend Youth Club Championships in Minnesota and Colorado. Once with Lexington Pi and the other with Kentucky Khaos. This past year I was also lucky enough to play for West Jessamine under the coaching of Eric Garwood. We competed in many places like, Tennessee, Chicago, as well as Ohio. Despite have an amazing group of guys and a lot of talent we feel short in our journey to go to High School National Invite. I was also just offered a practice player spot on the 2024 Indiapolis AlleyCats under the coaching of Drew Shepherd. I am extremely grateful for everything and the opportunities I have been given on my ultimate journey!

This has now become a huge part of my life. It has brought hapiness, sadness, brotherhood, joy but mostly love. My goal since I started playing was to make a national team as well as represent my country. However, with this great opportunity, the cost of participating is very high due to travel. Any donations will be directly to the cost of travel, lodging, and tournament fees. All donations are extremely helpful and much appreciated.
