Help Elliott Frazier Cover Hand Injury Expenses!
Donation protected
Hello everyone, thank you for checking out our fundraiser for Elliott Frazier, an amazing musician, father, and husband, and beloved fixture of our artist community here in Austin! Please consider donating and passing the word along as his family deals with the aftermath of his accident. Anything helps!
TW:graphic description of bodily injury.
What happened: Two weeks ago, Elliott suffered a freak accident at home during kids bath time. The bathroom door slammed on his right thumb and completely severed about 1/4” away, including a piece of bone. In medical terms it was a “partial amputation of the soft tissues of the distal thumb. There is minimal bone loss as well as distal tuft.” Elliott’s wife Amanda had to peel the tip of his finger off the hinge of the door, the kids were screaming and had his blood on them also.
He has essentially lost the use of his right hand for a while, except for very basic tasks. He has had to reschedule all his work that was to occur over the last two weeks up until the end of the month and into next month (recording bands at his studio). His band Ringo Deathstarr has also had to cancel all musical performances indefinitely, including a U.S. tour.
He won’t be able to play until he has skin on the end of his thumb again. The immediate loss of income plus the added expense of buying prepared foods has started to take a toll. He has exhausted his resources. Elliott was the one who washed all the dishes, prepared most of his family’s meals, took the kids everywhere, while his wife works full-time. Now he has to keep the wound dry and wrapped, changing the bandages and washing it twice a day.
The ambulance ride and emergency room bills haven’t arrived yet, but he is in need of immediate help to overcome the current situation while he is following directions of the doctors, and will eventually need funds to help cover his medical bills. Again, anything helps! Thank you SO much again for taking the time!
