Help Elma!
Donation protected
This morning (12/27) while backcountry skiing outside of Bozeman with some friends, my dog Elma was hit by a skier when she cut in front of him as he was headed downhill. The whole mountain heard her cry out in pain. The injuries from the ski edge are severe, involving tendons, arteries, and multiple lacerations.
Despite all of this, Elma on three legs (one of which was also injured) ran back to the truck under her own power. The extent of her injuries was immediately and gut-wrenchingly apparent, but she would not let any of us pick her up to get her out. She is an absolute trooper.
Elma is currently at the PETS Emergency Vet being patched up and stabilized, but tomorrow we will be going to see a veterinary surgeon to see what our options will be.
Elma and I need your help. The initial estimates range from $3-6k for surgery.
Please donate as much as you can, and share this far and wide.
(Also, any excess funds after Elma's medical care will be donated to Heart of the Valley Animal Shelter in Bozeman! Please know that either way your donation will be used to help pets in need!)
