Help Emad Al-Shami and his family

Hi, my name is Maxime Côté-Lapierre, I live in Canada and am starting this fundraiser to help my friends in Palestine who need it very badly. I was originally contacted by their cousin Safaa who was asking for help with her own campaign, and I have talked to her regularly since then and consider her a friend, she asked me to set up this campaign for her cousins who are also going through great hardship. All of the information here is verified and all of the money will go directly to them through e-transfer. Here are their words:

"We live in tents on the streets

Let me tell you, my dear, I am Imad Saleh, I am 49 years old, Nevin Saleh, she is 42 years old, and we have two children two and a half years old, Muhammad and Yusra, we live in the Gaza Strip in Rafah specifically.

I had my children after 16 years of hardships, our joy was indescribable, and we lived a quiet and beautiful life. I was working as an employee and my wife was working in a ladies' beauty salon.

When October 7 came, it was a day of great transformation in our lives, as we lost our work, and it seemed to be fear and terror for our children, whom we have always waited for to come and fear for my wife. We stayed in this state for two weeks of the night. The occupation bombed a neighbor's house, our house became uninhabitable, my wife was hit by shrapnel in her feet, and we had to flee at night with our children to a shelter for the displaced. We left our house with everything in it, and we began to suffer from the simplest things, sleep, food, hygiene, milk, and special children's toys. We stayed like this for 6 months, then the occupation asked us to leave Rafah, and here we were displaced to Khan Younis and became homeless. We stayed with some people in their camp until we found a place to take shelter. We prepared a tent of clothes. So that we can't sleep in it, you can't imagine what we're moving in. Please save us, save my children. We die here of hunger. We cannot provide the simplest needs because there is no income. Please look at us with mercy. Help us."

Donations will help cover basic needs like food, healthcare and hygiene first, which are extremely expensive at this time due to lack of supplies, and the money saved up will help the Saleh family rebuild a real life for themselves. UPDATE: The first batch of donations has been transferred! Thank you so much to everyone who contributed. It took a long time to verify this campaign with Gofundme and then to transfer these first funds, but it will all go to food right now, as the food shortage has gotten worse. I hope to be able to share this campaign a lot more now, and that the next donations to reach Imad, Saleh and their children will be able to buy them comfortable clothes, hygiene products and toys for the children.
