Help Emad's Family Escape Gaza's Genocide
Donation protected
My name is Rebeca Ibarra, and I live in Kansas in the United States. I am fundraising for Emad and his family after their first GoFundMe was closed. I met Emad through TikTok and his story touched my heart. Almost one year into the genocide in Gaza and Emad and his family are desperately needing our help to raise funds for when the border opens to cross into Egypt and get to safety. The cost to arrange to cross into Egypt with all appropriate paperwork and permits is €5,000 per person. Emad has 8 immediate family members and also his grandmother who he is trying to help escape the war. On top of the cost of crossing the border, cost of food and other essentials has skyrocketed. In addition the family will need funds to find housing once they escape Gaza. I am collecting donations for Emad and his family for these purposes. Emad’s older brother has a PayPal account that all withdrawn funds will be sent to. I am in communication with Emad through TikTok where I do my fundraising efforts.
Here is his story:
My name is Emad Salam, I am 14 years old. We are a family of 8 people in addition to the grandmother. We used to live in Gaza in peace and security, until the war came and we lost everything, even the smallest details of life. My brothers are Omar, Abdullah and Alaa, and my sisters are Monawar and Manar. Prior to the war my father owned an electrical appliance store that was destroyed by bombs. With no job and no home we are suffering every day to survive this genocide. Please help my family.
