Hi everyone, here is Eman.
Please read my tale as if I am one of your family maybe your mom, sister, or daughter and as if our family who is under bombardment and death is yours.
My name is Eman, a newly graduate Laboratory medicine specialist who was supposed to start her occupational life, achieve career and realize the dreams she worked for but found herself losing everything in Gaza and losing any hope of a better life in Gaza.
This is my photo during practical training in medical laboratory before the war
The war has destroyed our hope, ambition and passion in our life and we are susceptible to death and annihilation at any time.
I live with my family of 10 members in Gaza city and witnissed the death of hundreds of our relatives, friends and acquaintances during this barbaric war.
One of the worst nights of this war is that black evening of heavy bombardment by artillery weapon and fire belts carried out by war aircrafts in the neighborhood we are living in and therefore we were victims of dismay and terror.
These are real photos for the destructive results of fire belts on Gaza city.
Imagine yourself living in a narrow dark shelter while the shells and rockets are falling around you and hearing the bombardment sounds and expecting every second that one of these shells or rockets may end your life, decompose your body into fragments or render yoy handicapped forever.
During that time we prayed devotedly to god with tears to protect us and save our life.
Thereafter, we took refuge to another shelter within Gaza where we suffered from scarcity of water sources, food insecurity including lack of even nutritional supplements and inavailability of electricity since the beginning of the war.
A photo that can embody the forced displacement we obligated to
On 18,Jan,2024, we had experienced sudden attack by the ground forces and remain besieged in our shelter and while escaping from bombardment to survive I was targeted by a quadcapter bullet in the left thigh ( entrance and exit ) and I bled for more than 30 minutes laying down on the pavement.
During this time, many bullets were shot by quadcapter and snipers over my head and around my body.
I screamed in panic "please help me" whilst I cannot move myself to survive and my mother remained besieged in a place opposite to the pavement looking at me, crying but cannot do anything due to heavy shooting. I cannot move anywhere, no one could reach me to save me, rescue me, or stop the ongoing bleeding. I lived a terrible horror, fear and dismay in this brutal situation, a horror that no letters or words can describe, 30 minutes were as if they were 30 years.
After survival, my wound was large and deep and I underwent an operation that is performed by my old brother dr. Hamza without anesthetic agents or even sufficient medical equipments necessary for the operation. My brother performed the surgical operation under flashlight of mobile due to electricity outage.
This is the photo while performing operation under flashlight
The lack of nutritional elements due to severe famine we witnissed in northern Gaza has prolonged my recovery, wound healing, and reunion of fragmented bone.
My survival was miraculous as I survived certain death and suffered severely. Can you imagine the extent of tragedy to undergo an operation without anesthesia ?
Can you imagine the extent of terrible pain and situation that I experienced ? No one can bear that ugly, tough, and merciless situation. I have been sufferring until now as the nerves were damaged and the entire muscle in that area was torn. I am unable to walk or move my leg since my injury. Neither the medicines needed for treatment, the proper nutrition, nor the travel abroad was available.
This is my photo after bullet injury
My older brother Hamza is a doctor who had his job, work, and colleagues in the hospital. His passion was to help innocent people and the wounded in the war. He has completed the requitements for high specialty medicine abroad but the war has another idea. It has destroyed all his dreams, hope, and future and found himself wasted by this barbaric brutal war. He remained besieged in Al- shifa hospital altogether with his colleagues of the same medical profession many days while treating the injured people after the tanks attacked the hospital and assaulted doctors and medical staff.
He and his friends were tortured, interrogated and the soldiers prevented them from going out, eating or even drinking. They destroyed and detonated medical devices and targeted bullets and shells toward the medical staff and patients within the hospital.

My second brother Abdullah, an engineer who aspired to a suitable job after persevering for 5 academic years in the light of unemployment and lack of opportunities in Gaza. Also, he was unable to complete his master degree because of the war and its harsh conditions.
The third brother Mohammed was also studying in computer engineering department but has not been able to go ahead in his academic journey due to tough conditions created by the war and total collapse of almost all university buildings.
My sister Shahed, a sophomore in information technology department in the university, was also unable to complete her education due to the war and its harsh conditions.
My fourth brother Moamen has finished his secondary high school with great success and he aspired to enter the university world and study in English literature department but the war has killed his dream and deprived him from achieving his ambition.
My fifth brother Ahmed was aspiring to enter the high school, graduate with distinction, and study the specializtion he dreamed of for years but also the war has ended all his dreams.
My sixth brother Mahmoud, a child of no more than 9 years, woke up on the mourning of october 7 to the sounds of bombings and detonation and he was unable to go to school to study and play as many children he is suffering from phobia and intense fear and dismay.be keeps crying with panic while embracing his cat which he lost due to war.
This is Mahmoud's photo with his cat which is lost due to war
And this is the photo of Elyas who is terrified as Mahmoud
Our family has been dispalced many times and our home was destroyed by the shells which prompted us to seek refuge in another place. What is the guilt of my innocent family to lose our dreams, future and ambition. How difficult is to have a decent life, a future for which you work, and ambitions you seek to achieve and suddenly find all these things dissipated at a glance due to war.
The situation after almost 9 months of genocide is that Gaza's borders are unfortunately still closed and no one can get out of it, of course unless yoy pay a huge amount of money to save your life and cross borders to get to Egypt.
Crossing borders costs about 7000 to 9000 USD for each person and as a family of 10 persons, the amount of money seems unaffordable.
So here is How money will be spent:
• Paying around 7000 USD to every member of our 10 member family to cross Rafah borders and get safely to Egypt.
• Around 3000 USD covering GoFundMe transaction fees ( 2.9% + 0.3 USD per transaction )
• costs of treatment for my thigh injury which needs orthopedic and reconstructive operation.
• costs for completing our education and specialty training.
• The rest of the money will be for housing, food, clothes ... etc during the time period in Egypt.
• please note that every 1 USD equals 10.6 NOK
Asking for your help is the only way we have to save our family and future, your help may become our hope when hope is far away from us under tbese conditions, every dollar you can help with may save a life, bring hope and pleasure to our tired heart and secure the future of our ambitious innocent family members.
Please don't read this heart wrenching narrative with full tragedy and emotional feelings, I am here asking you to stand beside us, I am here sking your supportive help not your sympathy, to ask you to take practical steps either by donation or by sharing this to everyone you know who can help, please read this with your heart and take action as if I am related to you or as if I am one of your beloved family.
We are so grateful for your generous donation and supportive help to save us from this ordeal.
